The American Folk Art Museum mourns the passing of Ronald Shelp, a former member of the Museum’s Board of Trustees. A business executive, writer, author, and filmmaker, Mr. Shelp was a passionate collector of American self-taught art and made several donations to the Museum’s collection, including important works by Thornton Dial, Ronald Lockett, and Lonnie Holley.
The Museum’s staff and board offer their condolences to his wife, June, and their two sons, Kent and Russell.
