Roberta S. Terkowitz (Bobbi) has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Folk Art Museum since 2018 and is Chair of the Diversity and Equity Task Force. Ms. Terkowitz retired from IBM in 2013, where she was chosen in the first cohort of the Corporate Service Corps, best described as a mini-Peace Corps, and was sent to Tanzania as a volunteer worker with the African Wildlife Federation. She also worked at The Washington Post and the Department of Anthropology at the University of Cambridge in England. Ms. Terkowitz has been a member and Chair of the Washington, DC Studio Theatre Board of Trustees and is a member of the American Folk Art Society. She received a BA in History from Middlebury College.
