In Remembrance of Neal A. Prince

The Board and staff of the American Folk Art Museum are deeply saddened by the passing of Neal A. Prince. Mr. Prince and his former partner, Herbert W. Hemphill Jr., donated the iconic Flag Gate, the first work of art to be accepted into the nascent museum’s collection when it was founded in 1962. A gifted architect and designer, Mr. Prince’s eye for beauty was exceeded only by the generosity of his spirit. We extend our sympathy to his family and many friends.
