Karin Fielding has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Folk Art Museum since 2012. She is active on the Museum’s Development and Nominations and Governance Committees, as well as a member of the Museum’s Legacy Society. Along with her husband, Jonathan, she is an avid collector of historic American folk art. In addition to her work with the American Folk Art Museum, Ms. Fielding is the Treasurer of the American Folk Art Society and a fellow of the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. In the field of public health, Karin and her husband are recognized in the naming of the UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health. She serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the school and is active in fundraising, and the issues of climate change and maternal and child health. Before she retired, Ms. Fielding’s professional career was in marketing, and she was previously employed by Johnson & Johnson as a product manager.
