Jane A. Shallat has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Folk Art Museum since 2019. She attended the High School of Music and Art and the American School of Ballet. Ms. Shallat received her BA at Sarah Lawrence College, pursued coursework in social work at Columbia University, and received her MSW at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. She is involved in the Cinema Founder’s Society at Cinema Arts Centre of Huntington, New York; Sarah Lawrence College; the Union for Reform Judaism; the Parrish Art Museum; the Jewish Museum in New York, where she is on the Acquisition Committee; and the Whitney Museum of American Art ,where she stands as an American Fellow. Ms. Shallat is a Trustee of Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York, and has served on the Boards of the American Friends of Museums in Israel and the Hecksher Museum of Art in Huntington, New York, where she is now an Honorary Board Member.
