It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Sharon Fisher, who passed away on October 14, 2018. A talented vocalist, Sharon performed for more than a decade with the Bill Wurtzel Trio at the museum’s performance series Jazz+Wednesdays. Her evocative voice and phrasing made her a favored vocalist with some of the greatest artists in jazz. Sharon recorded an album, For Once in My Life, that showcased her terrific voice, singing classics from the American Songbook. Our sympathies are extended to her husband, family, and the many friends and audience members whose lives were touched by her.
