(New York, New York) – The American Folk Art Museum announced today that Austin Losada will join its staff as part of the Art Bridges Fellows Program. For a three-year period beginning in June of 2023, Losada will work with AFAM to research, prepare and oversee the loan of works from the Museum’s collections to a series of borrowing institutions nationwide through the Art Bridges Collection Loan Partnership Program. In addition, Austin will contribute to a range of projects relating to the Museum’s collections, publications, and exhibitions.
Losada is currently a Lois F. McNeil Fellow at Winterthur Museum, Library & Garden. His prior experience includes roles at Princeton University, the John Chamberlain Estate, and The Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and is pursuing an M.A. in the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture at the University of Delaware.
