Folk Art Reflections

Let’s get inspired by some of the fancy fonts and inventive handwriting in the Museum’s collection! Join Access Educator Elizabeth Gronke for a special virtual Folk Art Reflections program and guided look at lettering, like this sampler made by Helen Livingston in the early 1800’s. Bring some plain paper and a pen or pencil to this interactive session where we will try our own hand at some of these fanciful writing styles.

Folk Art Reflections is a series designed for those living with dementia, and their care partners and family members. This program is free but space is limited. For details, or to register: egronke@folkartmuseum.org or 212-595-9533 x 381.

This program is funded by a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Ford Foundation, public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
