In a lecture titled “Investing in Folk Art: The Remarkable Edith Halpert and her Downtown Gallery,” Lindsay Pollock, Editor-in-Chief of Art in America and author of The Girl With The Gallery, will focus on the life of Edith Gregor Halpert, the proprietor of one of the first art galleries in Greenwich Village, the Downtown Gallery.
