Folk Art Explorers: Trip to Pittsburgh

November 10 – 13, 2022

This fall, join us for a very special weekend trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The weekend will be jam-packed with curator-led Museum tours, visits to exclusive private collections, and unique opportunities to explore the treasures of Pittsburgh.

Highlights of this trip include: a panel discussion with our own Jason Busch and curators Emelie Gevalt and Valérie Rousseau at the Heinz Historical Center and a tour of the John Kane exhibition there; a private curated tour of American Perspectives at The Frick; and a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. We will also see folk art at the Westmoreland Museum and the Hoyt Art Center.  A visit to private collections of folk art in historic homes, leaf peeping, and fine dining are also on the agenda.

The ticket price includes three nights of deluxe accommodations at Hotel Monaco, most meals, admission fees, taxes and gratuities, and local bus transportation around the city. A portion of your ticket is tax deductible. Not included is the flight to Pittsburgh International Airport and travel to and from the airport.

To save your spot, please contact Jean Seestadt by email at events@folkartmuseum.org.
