Families will visit the exhibitions What That Quilt Knows About Me and Material Witness: Folk and Self-Taught Artists at Work to investigate the various expected and unexpected ways artists create their work. Then they’ll get to try out the methods and materials they observed!
Families and Folk Art introduces children ages 4 to 12 and their accompanying adults to folk art through interactive discussion-based tours in the galleries followed by hands-on art-making activities inspired by objects in the museum. Space is limited; registration is required.
