That’s when I started the figure painting, people walking along, knocking each other down, like that. My feeling was the world might be better if I put up my protests. How do artists give form to their dreams for the future? In this session, AFAM Senior Educators Natalie Beall and Nicole Haroutounian will explore themes of utopia, healing, and community building through the work of Polly Ann (Jane) Reed, Emery Blagdon, and Purvis Young. Prompts for looking and drawing will be shared throughout the evening, and participants will be invited to share their work.
