Folk Art Reflections Music Series

The Folk Art Reflections Music Series offers free live music programs that are designed for adults living with memory loss, their families, and care partners. These special performances will take place at the museum before public hours, so the music and art can be enjoyed in a supportive and social environment.

Artists will perform songs that resonate musically with the artwork of the current exhibition, while participants are invited to sing along. This is a unique opportunity for families and care partners to spend meaningful time together at the American Folk Art Museum, connecting through art and song.

This program is free, but space is limited; registration is required. To register or request more details, contact: education@folkartmuseum.org or 212. 265. 0605.

This program is funded by a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Ford Foundation, public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
