Folk Art Reflections: Caregiver Series

Friday, December 9th from 10:30am to 11:30am EST

Are you a caregiver to someone living with a dementia diagnosis? Find support and community through folk art.

We have invited Jana Castellano, seated yoga instructor, to lead an hour of restorative yoga and guided meditation, inspired by carefully selected artworks from the museum’s collection. Enjoy a mini vacation through mindful art-viewing and yoga. Whether you care for a loved one or work as a caregiver professionally– join us for a program designed for you.

This program is free but space is limited. For details, or to register: egronke@folkartmuseum.org or 212-595-9533 x 381. This program is intended for caregivers but individuals with dementia are welcome to attend; this program takes place virtually, via Zoom.

Jana Castellano is a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher and ERYT-500 Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor who has been teaching Chair Yoga for 16 years. Jana’s classes are focused and fun. She welcomes all students regardless of age, body type, experience, ability, or bodily challenges.
