Families and Folk Art: Create Your Own Weathervane

The current exhibit, American Weathervanes: The Art of the Winds, explores the artistry and cultural significance of these unique sculptural forms. We will discuss what makes weathervanes special and how they function! From mythological creatures, to beautiful figures and animal shapes, families will be introduced to several examples from the exhibit.

Families are invited to join this virtual program for a discussion around the theme of weathervanes, and will construct their own.

Registrants will be provided with a simple list of materials to assemble before the program so that we can make art together. For families with children ages 4 and up. Please contact familyprograms@folkartmuseum.org to learn more or register here.

Zoom link will be sent with confirmation of registration.

Families and Folk Art is supported by the estate of Marlene Gordon.
