Perspectives on the Work and Thoughts of George Widener

Sharon Begley, author and senior health & science correspondent at Reuters, moderated this dialogue among artist George Widener, Dr. Valérie Rousseau, curator, art of the self-taught and art brut, American Folk Art Museum, and Dr. Joy Hirsch, professor of psychiatry and of neurobiology, Yale School of Medicine. It will explore the scientific and artistic aspects of George Widener’s creations, two of which are on view in Self-Taught Genius: Treasures from the American Folk Art Museum, as well as his prodigious memory and mathematical abilities.
